在刘椿年教授的带领下，近年来我实验室一直同国内、外同行保持着紧密的联系，曾多次应邀到美国、 挪威、日本、韩国等国家以及香港、澳门地区进行学术访问，刘椿年教授也先后被邀请在多个学校做过学术报告，其中包括：

    成功举办2004 IEEE/WIC/ACM网络智能与智能代理技术国际联合会议，收到论文600篇，录用200篇，40多个国家的专家学者与会，图灵奖得主John McCarthy等国际顶尖学者做特邀报告。

    陆汝钤院士牵头获得国家自然科学基金重大项目，北京工业大学为四个负责单位之一，刘椿年为第二子项目负责人。
